christmas gift bags

Hey everyone! Kelly here and I wanted to show you my latest project using the digital december daily products over at Ali Edwards.  This is what I love so much about digital products.  You can really use them in so many ways.  I picked up a bunch of craft gift bags on clearance a while back and I decided to pull those out and pick out a couple of my favorites from the december daily kits and decorate them.  I used my silhouette and some glitter embossing powder and I really love how they turned out!

Now I just have to wait a few weeks so I can fill them with christmas goodies and give them away!  Thanks for looking!

Hybird Catch up

I have been doing a few more hybrid pages lately that I haven’t added to the blog so I thought I would catch up with sharing now.  I love doing my project life in a digital format but I really love working with physical products too so doing hybrid pages lets me do that.

This one I created using two digital products by ali edwards (messy life circles and half circle sentiments No. 1)  as well as real us from One Little Bird.

Next up is a layout I did using Rain or Shine by Ali Edwards and Bloom from Paislee Press.

I would also like to share one that I did with At Weeks End by One Little Bird.

I think that’s all the recent ones. Thanks for looking!

Us – hybrid layout

Hello! This has been a crazy week! I have been super busy trying to plan a Minecraft birthday party for my son. I have no idea why I can’t walk into my local party story and buy Minecraft party decorations considering every other kid I know plays the game. But alas, I cannot so I have been making it all from scratch. But I did take some time yesterday and work on a hybrid page using a new template from Paislee Press. If you would like more information on how to use a digital template to create hybrid layouts you can check out this article here.

And the best part is that the template available for free through the end of the month! All you have to do to get it is go on over to today’s challenge on the month of challenges forum over a The Lilypad and download it! I also used the Memory Hearts from Ali Edwards to create a patterned paper for the top part of my layout. The other patterned papers came from the On My Desk collection by Paislee Press.

Bring on the tree!

We got our tree up this weekend. Normally I wait till two weeks before Christmas to put up the tree and decorations, but this year I couldn’t wait! My boys helped me decorate and I love how it turned out.  So when Ali brought out these 3×4 Christmas Rocks cards and I saw the one that says Bring on the Tree I just knew I had to make a layout.

KSCHMIDT_NOV19_CHRISTMASROCKSI had a piece of wood veneer left over from last years December Daily that says Joy so I decided to emboss it white and put it right over the picture of the tree.

Love your Brave

Good Morning! I have been doing a little scrapping this morning.  I always put my regular layouts right in my albums with my project life pages. Last week I did an 8 1/2 x 11 insert about a football game we went too. Well, that left me with a blank 8 1/2 x 11 page (the back of the insert) that needed something. I decided to create a hybrid page to put there with this great picture that Tristan’s teacher sent us from an insect presentation they had a school.  This is what I came up with:

I used Hopscotch from One Little Bird because the colors are bright and cheerful and I felt like that fit better with the proud look on his face.  And of course because I can seldom create a page without a template I used one from The 2014 DSD grab bag by Sara Gleason and Crystal Livesay.  The awesome brave wordart is by Ali Edwards and can be found at her shop here.

Thanks so much for looking! Now back to project life 🙂
